The use of mobile devices has been increasing each year. All of us have been influenced by its spread and use. We use them on a daily
basis as a form of social interaction and to be connected to the internet 24/7. How and where we use these devices puts in jeopardy the
privacy and security of our information.
This dissemination project aimed to measure the susceptibility from the
"common" email user to SPAM attacks. The scope was a subset of the
Portuguese internet users.
In this way, Dognædis is intended to alert to some weaknesses of
Portuguese anti-spam law as well as to alert users of the dangers that
messages contain.
The Safer Internet Day (SID) is a global initiative held annually in February to promote safer and more responsible online technologies and mobile devices, especially among children and youth.
This year (2013) the event was held on February 5th, also with webcast, they did well to get all the words and information of the speakers and transmit too all the interested persons in the area.
With this event could be introduce or reinforce the issues of conduct, behavior Internet Security between students, teachers and parents.
Vigilis was a system developed to produce statistic data on a periodic
basis to study the Portuguese Internet security levels.
Born in 2008
under the name Nonius within a Dissemination project from CERT-IPN, ended in 2010 due to a strategic shift from CERT-IPN.
Vigilis had a nature of community and social intervention. The results obtained by this system can be incorporated in two different groups - a
group representing the social perspective and public awareness and the other representing its technical dimension.
